A Gathering was held on 10th September 2011 at the Multipurpose Hall, Taman Sri Pelabuhan. Staff and Families of Bintulu Port, Port Customers and various government agencies were invited. The highlight of the gathering was the presence of the Head of State, Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Norkiah. Other community leaders and prominent figures includes YB Tn Hj Mohd Naroden bin Hj Majais, YB Datuk Talib Zulpilip, Assistant Minister of Tourism; and Tuan Hj Ismail Hanis, Resident of Bintulu Division. Head of state, Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng was presented with a birthday cake and a birthday present by Bintulu Port’s CEO, Dato Mior Ahmad Baiti
