BPHB Group Launches Anti-drugs Campaign

BINTULU: A three-month long anti-drugs campaign has been launched by Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) Group to drive home its mantra on the dangers of dabbling in drugs. Seminars, awareness drives, corporate and other activities will be part of the Jan-March campaign, which aims to mobilise support and inspire employees to steer clear of illegal substance abuse.Themed “Love yourself, love your family, be drug-free”, the campaign focuses on creating a safe working environment that fosters the well-being and health of employees.The campaign moves away from conventional tactics and emphasises more on educating the group’s populace on the adverse effects of drugs and illegal substance abuse and how to seek help.

    BPHB Group Chief Executive Officer, Dato Mohammad Medan Abdullah said its approach was not just about saying ‘no to drugs’ but to instill awareness of the danger and negative effect drugs can bring. “Further, it is about providing help and assistance to those in need, where possible. The group will work closely with government agencies in the future to aid and support those suffering from drugs and illegal substance addiction. BPHB will strive to ensure that its premises are always drugs and illegal substance-free”, he added.

Also present at the launching ceremony were DSP Dennis Bunyam and AADK’s Prevention Unit head in Bintulu, Nicholas Sam.
