Bintulu Port names former Petronas executive as group CEO
Bintulu Port Holdings
Malaysia’s Bintulu Port Holdings has appointed former Petronas executive Anuar Ismail as group chief executive officer, effective August 17.
Anuar succeeds Ruslan Abdul Ghani, who is leaving the port operator after being appointed to another Sarawak government-linked company.
The incoming chief executive has held a series of senior roles at Malaysia’s state energy company, including head of Sarawak assets at Petronas Carigali, head of integrated hydrocarbon management at Malaysia Petroleum Management, and chairman and country head of Petronas South Sudan.
His appointment brings extensive oil and gas experience to the operator of Bintulu Port, one of Malaysia’s leading energy and bulk cargo gateways and a major export hub for LNG.
