VICE PRESIDENT- GROUP PORT OPERATION
Job Description

As the Vice President – Group Port Operations, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of Bintulu Port. You will lead and inspire a high-performing team to drive operational excellence across our diverse port operations. Your strategic vision and operational expertise will be critical in ensuring seamless port services, efficient logistics, and sustained growth for BPHB.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Leadership: Provide strategic direction and inspire a high-performing team to develop and implement strategies that optimize port operations, enhance efficiency, and drive revenue growth.


Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily operations of our ports, ensuring smooth cargo handling, vessel berthing, and terminal management.


Safety and Compliance: Prioritize safety and environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.


Financial Performance: Drive cost-effective operations, optimize resource utilization, and improve overall financial performance.


Maintenance & Reliability: Oversee the development and implementation of maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and optimal performance of port infrastructure and equipment.


Operations Support: Oversee the operational support to various departments to ensure efficient and effective operations.


•Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and regulatory authorities to foster collaboration and ensure mutual success.


•Innovation and Technology: Embrace technological advancements to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and stay ahead of industry trends.


The position reports to the President/Group Chief Executive Officer.


You will provide strategic guidance and leadership to the following key departments:


1.Bintulu Port Sdn. Bhd.
2.Samalaju Industrial Port Sdn. Bhd.
3.Biport Bulkers Sdn. Bhd.
4.Maintenance & Reliability
5.Operations Support

Skills Required

A degree holder with more than 20 years of relevant experience in a senior management role; leading at least a medium-sized business, preferably well versed in the port/logistics/transportation industry.
