EXECUTIVE, OPERATIONS / EMERGENCY SERVICES AND RESPONSE TEAM
Job Description
THE JOB:
Manage and oversee fire station operations within the port to ensure continuous emergency response capability. Lead operational firefighting teams, maintain station readiness, and coordinate emergency response activities from the fire station command center in compliance with Fire Services Act 1988, IMO SOLAS, NFPA standards, and Bintulu Port Authority By-Laws.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee daily fire station operations, manage three operational shifts (Team A, B, C), coordinate personnel deployment, and ensure 24/7 emergency response capability;
Direct emergency response operations, coordinate fire standby and HAZMAT response standby for dangerous goods vessel operations, and manage live-watch teams for hot work and confined space;
Manage fire control room operations including emergency dispatch, communication coordination, and liaison with JBPM and external emergency services;
Supervise operation and maintenance of fire engines, rescue equipment, and station facilities while conducting training programs, drills, and joint exercises.

Requirements
Degree
Bachelor's in Engineering, Safety, Sciences, or related field.
Minimum CGPA : 2.70 ;
or
Diploma
Diploma in any field with minimum CGPA: 2.70, and
At least 5-7 years experience in JBPM, Port Fire Rescue Service, or Airport Fire Rescue Service; and
Must Have: Diploma Sains Kebombaan
Additional Details
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physically fit, able to swim, not color blind, no height phobia
Valid driving license
Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Willing to work shifts including nights, weekends, and during emergencies
