Job Description

THE JOB:  

Identify, evaluate, and recommend new business opportunities and assist in developing the Business Plan to achieve strategic goals and objectives. This role involves identifying and exploring new business to drive revenue growth for the company by securing new clients and market opportunities. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Actively seek new business opportunities through market research, networking, and industry events. 
  2. Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive threats. 
  3. Develop and execute strategic plans to enter new markets or industries. 
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for new business initiatives. 
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at prospective clients. 
  6. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals. 
  7. Identify, evaluate, recommend, and monitor ongoing and new business opportunities to achieve strategic goals and objectives. 
  8. Monitor project teams and market trends to ensure contracts are executed and identify opportunities. 
Skills Required

Skills:  

  • Sharp business acumen, positive thinking attitude, resourceful and result-oriented. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for building relationships, negotiating deals, and presenting proposals. 
  • Ability to build rapport, connect with people, and understand their needs. 
  • Strong IT proficiency, especially in the use of spreadsheets, presentation software, and various software tools. 
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision. 
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify solutions while strategically planning to achieve business goals. 
Additional Details
  • Education: Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or equivalent in related fields. 
  • A master’s degree in business administration is an added advantage. 
  • Working Experience: At least 1 - 3 years of experience in corporate planning, business development, or marketing with exposure to port operations.
