Bintulu Port celebrates key partnerships with launch of customer-centric awards

KUCHING, Nov 11: Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) ushered in a new tradition with the launch of the BPHB Customer Centric Awards, honoring the exceptional contributions of its diverse customer base and partners.

The inaugural awards ceremony recognized excellence across 11 categories, from Liquid Bulk (Petroleum) to Container (Local), culminating in the prestigious Pinnacle Award, which was presented to Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd.

Other notable winners included PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd for Liquid Bulk (Petroleum), Shin Yang Shipping Sdn Bhd for Container (Local), and Harbour Agencies (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd for Container (Transhipment).

Additional recipients included Bintulu Edible Oil Sdn Bhd and Kirana Palm Oil Refinery Sdn. Bhd. for Liquid Bulk (Palm Oil), while Press Metal (Bintulu) Sdn Bhd earned recognition in the Break Bulk category.

“These awards celebrate not just operational achievements but also the enduring partnerships that have fueled Bintulu Port’s growth,” said BPHB President and CEO, Dato Ruslan Abdul Ghani, during his remarks at the Customer Centric Nite 2025, held at a hotel in Kuching on Tuesday night (Nov 11).

Ruslan further underscored the critical role played by customers in industries such as LNG, general cargo, logistics, and shipping.

Meanwhile, the event also showcased Bintulu Port’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, as Ruslan outlined plans for digital transformation and green initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency while reducing environmental impact.

“As we look to the future, we are committed to being not just a port of choice, but a modern, environmentally responsible hub.

“Our continued focus on innovation and sustainability will ensure Bintulu Port remains a key driver of economic growth for years to come,” he affirmed. – TVS
