BINTULU: Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd (BPHB) recently received special recognition with the Green Terminal Label Certification (GTLC).

The certification was received at the UN Global Compact Malaysia and Brunei (UNGCMYB) Sustainability Celebration Night.

The certificate was awarded by Bureau Veritas last September during the official launch of the Borneo Oil and Gas Supply Base (BOG).

The GTLC certification recognizes BPHB’s continued commitment to implementing environmentally friendly practices, minimizing carbon emissions and implementing sustainable operations in its terminal management.

The accolade was received by BPSB’s Chief Operating Officer, Matshalleh Mohammad Etli, at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur.

The recognition strengthens BPHB’s position as an industry leader, thus confirming its role as a pioneer in sustainable maritime operations in line with global standards.

The ceremony also recognizes organizations that champion the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and drive sustainability across various industries.

Other award recipients include Pos Malaysia, Tanjung Pelepas Port, Malakoff Corporation, and Press Metal Aluminium.
