BINTULU: Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) through Yayasan Bintulu Port entertained the residents in the Ramadan Safari Program Iftar Ceremony with the Hulu Nyalau Community Community at the village's Balai Raya on Wednesday.
The Bintulu Port Foundation said in a statement that the corporate social responsibility (CSR) program had the cooperation of the Bintulu Port Islamic Welfare Committee (JKI) and the residents of Kampung Hulu Nyalau.
"This program is an initiative of Bintulu Port to strengthen ties with the community and help those in need through donations," he said.
According to him, this program was also enlivened with the activity of working together to cook and prepare spicy porridge for breaking fast between the company's staff and the villagers.
In addition, he said, the presentation of food basket donations to 42 needy families and the donation of radio equipment to the Kampung Hulu Nyalau Masjid Darul Ibadah Committee were also held.
The presentation of the donation was completed by BPHB Group Chief Executive Officer Ruslan Abdul Ghani.
The program was also attended by the Senior Manager of Corporate Services BPHB who is also the Chairman of the program, Maslihah Tioh, JKI Bintulu Port members, officers and staff of the Bintulu Port company and local residents.
