Bintulu Port leaders earn logistics industry’s prestigious accolade

BINTULU: Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd (BPHB) strengthened its position in the logistics and transport industry with top leadership and management earning professional fellowships and chartered designations.

In a statement issued by BPHB on Sunday, the company announced a momentous achievement in professional excellence as its president and group chief executive officer, Datuk Ruslan Abdul Ghani, was awarded the prestigious Fellowship of The Chartered Institute of Logistics  and Transport (CILT) Malaysia (FCILT).

The accolade was conferred during the CILT Malaysia Convocation 2025 at the Grand Shah Alam, Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC), on Saturday which recognises exceptional leadership and outstanding contribution to the logistics and transport industry.

“This collective achievement underscores BPHB’s dedication to nurturing world-class  talent and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in logistics and transport management,” it said.

Adding to the organisation’s pride, ten BPHB management members successfully  earned their titles as Chartered Members of CILT (CMILT), demonstrating the company’s commitment to professional development and industry excellence.

The CMILT recipients are Sufri Bohari, Esther Lu Noi Yan, Awang Faizol Awang Sallam, Wan Mohamad Zaidi Wan Kadir, Remazi Arbi, Sallehin Kamil, Awang Raisudin Awang Saifudin,  Hishamudin  Mohidin, Abdul Hamid Bokhari and Najlaa Zahirah Hossen.

In a historic milestone for BPHB, Esther Lu Noi Yan and Najlaa Zahirah Hossen became the first female personnel in the company to receive the CMILT distinction, marking an important step forward in promoting diversity and inclusion.

“Lu further distinguished herself by receiving the Best Student Award for  her CILTM Briefing and Project Paper Presentation Programmen.

“While Lu and Najlaa are among the current pioneering female personnel to undertake the CILT PQE within Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd, they also carry the legacy of remarkable former female staff, including Hairun Jarani, our ex-staff from Finance, Human Resources and Administration, BPSB, who was awarded the CMILT in 2013,” it said.

For the record, the CMILT and FCILT designations are internationally recognised credentials that signify advanced knowledge, experience, and commitment to the industry’s best practices.

“These achievements reflect not only individual excellence but also our organisation’s commitment to continuous professional development and industry leadership,” it said.
