Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad's Tree Planting Event Promotes Sustainability

Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) demonstrated its commitment to environmental sustainability by launching a Tree Planting Program at Taman Millennium, Bintulu on October 26, 2023. During the event, Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), En. Ruslan bin Abdul Ghani emphasized the importance of the initiative, which was attended by Datu Haji Muhammad Yakup bin Kari, General Manager of Bintulu Development Authority (BDA).
The program involves planting 600 Hopea Odorata trees, known for their resilience and native status, to promote sustainability. This initiative supports the 'Greening Sarawak' campaign and aligns with the Sarawak Government's goal to plant 35 million trees by 2025. It also supports UNSDG Goal 15, focused on sustainable terrestrial ecosystems and biodiversity conservation. The collaboration with BDA highlights the effectiveness of joint efforts in environmental stewardship.
