| Working experience and occupation | Dato Ruslan bin Abdul Ghani joined Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad on 1st September 2022 firstly as the Group Chief Executive Designate for six months, before assuming the role of Group Chief Executive Officer on 1st March 2023. Following an organisational restructuring, he then assumed the expanded role of President and Group Chief Executive Officer on 1st December 2024. While at Bintulu Port, Dato Ruslan introduced a Three-Pronged Strategy that focused on the Core Port Business, Beyond-Port Business, and Low Carbon Clean Energy sectors. Under his leadership, the Group has achieved notable progress in business expansion, operational excellence, digital transformation, sustainability and corporate branding towards a Green Sustainable and Digitally enhanced Port. He was also instrumental in securing the Supply Base License in 2024 and the Free Zone License for Samalaju industrial Port in 2026. In addition, he played a key leadership role in overseeing the successful transition of the port transfer from being a Federal port to a Sarawak port and ensuring Bintulu Port Sdn. Bhd. continues as the port operator of Bintulu Port. Dato Ruslan began his career with PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. in 1990 and served PETRONAS for 32 years until his retirement in July 2022, holding various senior leadership positions across Malaysia's upstream operations. He brought extensive technical expertise, proven leadership and a global perspective gained through his experience in Sarawak, Sabah, Kerteh and Kuala Lumpur. Internationally, he was assigned to Sudan, Dubai, Iraq and Turkmenistan between 1999 and 2021, where he contributed to the first oil production in Sudan as well as Iraq in 2013. In 2020 until 2021, he was the Chief Executive Officer of PETRONAS Carigali Turkmenistan, based in Ashgabat. | |||||||||||||||
