Bursa Announcement

We refer to Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad ("Company") announcement dated 23 June 2026 in relation to the Cheque Handover Ceremony following the change of status of Bintulu Port from Federal Port to State Port, which was held on 21 June 2026.

The Board of Directors of the Company is pleased to announce that the State Government of Sarawak has approved in principle the appointment of the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Bintulu Port Sdn. Bhd. ("BPSB"), as the Port Operator of Bintulu Port pursuant to Section 12(2) of the Port Authorities Ordinance, 1961.

Following the approval, the State Government of Sarawak, represented by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Port Development Sarawak ("MIPD"), the Bintulu Port Authority (Sarawak) ("BPA(S)") and BPSB will enter into and execute an Agreement in Principle (Heads of Agreement) pending the finalisation and execution of the Port Operation Concession Agreement ("POCA").

Pending the execution of the POCA, BPSB shall continue to control, manage, operate and carry on the business of port undertakings at Bintulu Port in accordance with the applicable laws and the terms to be agreed between the parties.
